Sorry... I missed a day in there. The schedule for this contest has been pretty hectic. But The whole thing is wrapped up. I ended up with at 5th place in dirt and a new pair of jean shorts! This wasn't my favorite dirt course ever, but I got through it with a decent placing. The riding level was insane at this stop! So many people doing so many amazing tricks. Time to go home a ride and get dialed.

Man am I exhausted!!!! This traveling schedule is really starting to get to me. I've been home 4 days, NOT in a row, in the past month. Luckily I get to go home after this and relax for a minute. But I got to focus on where I'm at now... Portland, Oregon for the next Dew Tour. This is the 3rd stop and also the half way point of the series. I'm sitting pretty good in the point standings right now, and I'm hoping to keep a strong hold on my points lead in Dirt.

August is a busy month! Straight from X Games to Germany. Where in Germany do you ask? Berlin to be exact. Home of Mellow Park and the Rebel Jam. This was the 2nd time I've been to Berlin, but the first time competing at the event. I flew out last year after injuring my knee at X Games and just hung out and watched from the sidelines. It's a super fun event with a laid back, festival atmosphere. So I was very excited to be able to actually ride in the event this year.

I'm gonna keep this blog short and to the point. X Games just didn't feel like the way it use to feel to me. It was as exciting or nerve racking as it had been in past years. Maybe because there wasn't any dirt jumping this year, but I just felt like I had nothing to look forward to. It was kind of sad in a way. I used to lose sleep weeks before hand thinking about the event and what tricks and runs I wanted to do. I didn't feel anything like that this year. I had a good time riding the park PArk...

After the Dew Tour in Cleveland, I decided to hop in with a group of guys going on a filming roadtrip. The plan was to ride parks, trails, and some street on our way to New Jersey. We were going to film the whole thing and use the footage for "End Search". A video being produced by Josh Harrington and Tony Ennis. The crew consisted of Rob Darden, Dave Dillewaard, Will Love, Ty Morrow, Garrett Reynolds, and filmer/rider Terrel Gordy (Teo).

Round two of the AST Dew Tour took us to Cleveland, OH... Home of the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. Which acted as the backdrop for most of our contests that weekend. (INSERT PHOTO - Rocking out.JPG) They had set up the venue right on the bay of Lake. We used to have the Gravity Games in the same location and wind was always an issue so I knew coming into this event that would be dealing with the elements over the weekend.

Red Bull's Elevation Contest is quickly becoming dirt jumping's premier event every year. They spare no expense when it comes to holding the event every year. The have the best course designers and builders spend a month carving jumps out of the beautiful Whistler mountain side, they throw the most extravagant parties, and they treat everyone at the event with respect and make you want to come back for more. So it's no wonder why I was looking forward to going to this event. I had been the previous...
